A pizza steel, also known as a baking steel, is a better heat conductor than a pizza stone. The pizza steel is popular for cooking bread and pizza because it is able to transfer heat at a high rate while simultaneously stabilizing at a steady temperature.
This means when you place a pizza on the steel, the dough is cooked by the transfer of heat stored in the steel – rather than just the hot air in the oven. This makes for a crispier crust and faster cook times. Read more about the benefits of cooking on a steel baking plate! You can purchase the pizza steel here!

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500 degrees F.
- Once the oven is 500 degrees place your Pizza Craft Steel Baking Plate in the oven for 45 minutes to heat.
- Follow the Pizza Dough instructions on the back of the bag or use a pre-made pizza dough.
- Prepare your cream cheese sauce. Start by softening your cream cheese, so you can easily stir it. Add the granulated sugar, powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the softened cream cheese. Whisk well to form a smooth cream cheese sauce. Set sauce aside.
- Prepare your streusel topping. Start by melting your butter. Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract. Pour in the granulated sugar, brown sugar and flour. Mix with a fork to form a crumbly streusel. Set aside.
- Prepare your peanut butter drizzle. Simply melt the peanut butter, and butter together in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Set aside.
- Shape your pizza dough into a round. Place dough on the hot steel baking plate.
- Spread cream cheese sauce in an even layer over the dough.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the sauce.
- Evenly distribute the streusel over the pizza. Drizzle with the peanut butter sauce and more cream cheese sauce.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until toppings are melted and crust is golden.
